It’s amazing to me how replenishing even a week at ‘home’ could be. One week in Idyllwild with our own kitchen and I was somehow nourished enough to not feel so dragged down by having to eat out everyday while on the road.
This week started out with a lovely 24 hour stay in New Mexico for our first anniversary of being married, and it was at a health conscious spa that served us fresh and beautiful food. I needed it.
From there we headed to Austin, Texas for a BlogHer conference I was attending and the food here has been pretty spectacular, I have to say. Though it’s a bit wearing having to be out of the house each day and night for food, it’s been rewarding, I have to say. And obviously, if I ate a simple carnitas taco every day of my life, I’d likely be happy as a clam for the rest of my days.
The only reason I won’t be eating at Torchy’s everyday next week will simply be out of shame and not because I really want anything else. Truth.
