In our adventure into Europe, we made a week long stop in Sofia, Bulgaria for Jon and I to attend Wordcamp Europe 2014. I, admittedly, had never given thought to traveling to Bulgaria, but it was a stunning city. Jon and I were both quite happy to be there and explore as much as we could given we were there for 3 full days of conferencing.
Typically, we look for full service, artsy cafes to work in that allow for good internet connection and awesome coffee. Because we were running with the tech crew and in Wordcamp most of the time, we didn’t have such a need for it during this week. As well, I found a fantastic flat to rent through AirBnB that gave us a great space to work in when we were home.
So here are just two great restaurants I loved that provided for a great eating experience with fresh foods, a conscious menu and worth being visited if you ever find yourself in Sofia, Bulgaria.
All vegan menu, gorgeously decorated restaurant with great dishes to enjoy. You never once miss the meat or the cheese. Promise!
Vegetarian friendly, vegetable heavy and creative. If I come back to Sofia, I’m definitely staying in Cabra’s neighborhood and going here regularly. The owner is very friendly, speaks English, which can be helpful, and loves creating new recipes.
