I’ve been packing and living in a sea of boxes now for over a month. Good news is that I’m finally in Maui in our new home and although our things haven’t all arrived, I’m home!
What has been really fun and a bit frustrating is the fantasizing. I cannot wait until all my pots and pans arrive, and the dishes, the wooden spoons, my mason jars. Daily, I find myself writing down notes on what I’m going to cook on this day, or that day and it all just makes me giddy with excitement!
The other thought process is how I’ll set up the kitchen. Here is a picture of it:
It doesn’t appear to be very big in the image, but it feels amazing to stand there. The counters are stone slate, cabinets are bamboo, and the refrigerator, as is the rest of the house is solar powered. What I love most about it is the fact that its part of the greater living area, completely open, massive windows and constant light. Oh the things I’m going to do in this kitchen!!!
For now I wait and make lists. The boxes I’m waiting for should come in several days. Until then, its all about the lists and food magazine overload.

The kitchen…the whole house, in fact…looks amazing. I love that you'll be in that tropical jungle. What fun! What an amazing house! We dream of living in Maui, can't wait to hear how your journey there goes. Maybe one day we'll make that magical trip across the sea.

Looks gorgeous! I love open kitchens, and the fact that it's in Hawaii… well, that's just icing on the cake. 🙂
