Edible Hawaiian Islands

Last year was big.   2014 started out with Jon and I in Asia and ended with a return from both Europe and a week stay in California to be with family for the holidays.  My time at home had been predominantly about recovering and resettling into my home routine while simultaneously preparing to leave once more.  And it was amazing. Obviously, to look at my post history for the last 6 months, you can tell I’ve been busy and very much away from this space.

So I’m back now.  Stories, images and so much news.  The first of which is long overdue in the sharing.

Last Summer, after returning from Thailand, I was hired as the new Editor of Edible Hawaiian Islands.  I was home for a couple of months and gladly hit the ground running on a publication I’ve loved since moving to Hawaii.

Currently about to go to print with the 3rd issue I’ve worked on, I’m so thrilled to share it with you.  Winter 2015 issue dropped in January and Spring is coming in mid March.  Check out the website and subscribe.  If you know anything about Edible Communities and the fabulous regional publications from around the country, you know that you don’t have to live in an area to get something out of these lush issues.

All Edible Community magazines feature local foods and food culture for their particular region. Edible Hawaiian Islands covers all the islands, the entire state of Hawai’i, and it’s been both an honor and so much fun to work on.  It’s chalk full with culinary goodness and Hawai’i chef rockstars.
