Prosecco And Raspberries

August 1, 2012 by Elena Rego Leave a Comment

We hosted a small gathering last weekend and this was on of the drinks we offered.  So simple, so fresh and perfectly Summer in that bubbly decadent way that makes you feel free and indulgent.

Prosecco is an Italian sparkling wine and less expensive substitute for Champagne.  It’s flavors tend to be dry, crisp and refreshing.  Plop a few juicy ripe raspberries in, and you have a gorgeous drink.  I think I’m making it my official Summer cocktail and am plotting other great fruits to throw in there, like strawberries, blue berries, small sections of oranges and blackberries.
