Buried under the tomatoes and basil is a papaya. Jon loves those and immediately ate one when we opened the box. I’m not a big fan, so those are for him.
Looking at this though, I’m thinking about grilling the zucchini and the leaks, possibly using the yams in a soup, using the butter leaf lettuce to wrap a raw sunflower seed pate in, and of course the tomatoes and basil need some fresh mozzarella to create perfection.
Because it’s just Jon and I, we order the small organic box, but I’m thinking that it may make more sense to order the large box. Every dish we cook at home is vegetarian and I would like these boxes to rendered at least 3 full meals a week.
What I’m finding though is that we get a lot of lettuces. Which I love, don’t get me wrong, but it’s shifting my eating towards more salads. Good for me, possibly too boring for Jon.
Oh! And not shown here are about 6 bok choys. Other then stir fry, what can I do with them? I was thinking of roasting them for a bit and then pouring a sauce of some sort over them. Any suggestions?
