“There are three conditions that food should meet:  It should help your mind maintain its tranquility; it should not stiffen the body with toxins; and it should be able to be digested quickly without wasting a lot of energy.  Such food would contain no stimulants, chemicals, artificial hormones, or intoxicants, not would it contain animal products as they take a long time to digest and consume a lot of the body’s energy to digest.  The food would be fresh, organically and locally grown, and comprise primarily of whole grains, vegetables, and fruits.  This is centered cuisine in a nutshell.”
